I think it's time for sensible Americans to take the power back. I also think that intelligence, logic and even philosophy are going to enjoy being cool, trendy and influential, for a time. This is because the Trump Syndicate, his department heads, loyalists and apparently therefore law and justice seem to be making cool anti intelligence, justifying the con of a nation to desire the end of Democracy, influencing only their continued success.
We cannot “make intelligence great again” in an echo chamber. We cannot be preaching to the choir while the church is on fire. My very boring essay, “Proud ICE Boys” has been cited by many as proof of the institutionalized racism of the American government. It is proof, but that's because these monsters are self righteous. Project 2025 is clearly spelled out. Homeland security actively recruited Proud Boys into ICE.
But ten thousand downloads, hundreds of citations, inquiry from press, historical indexes and even mentioned (presumably just a coincidence) by Keith Olbermann, Proud ICE Boys, as a commentary of facts and figures, is not made actionable. Maga isn't reading Proud ICE Boys. Maga isn't listening to Keith Olbermann. But, sensible Maga also can plainly see that this Con is a Coup. And when sensible people get burned by someone they believed in, they lash out. They will strike with their pocket books and their votes.
And of course the Left is striking out. The No Kings movement is strong and blatant. There are no more punches to pull. Either you think this is all fucking awful and must be stopped, or what? You want King Trump?
Once you eliminate from the equation anyone having “woke up” then you will be left with only the syndicate of loyalists and family. Anyone claiming to be allegiant to the criminals or their enterprise will come to justice when the coup fails, due to it no longer “being mandated.” (Which of course, it never was. There's also no war on Christmas.)
It is important to remember that the Trump Syndicate, Project 2025 and the Republican Party are one and the same thing. Republicans that are and have been outspoken against these efforts are few and far between. The Republican Party, in its entirety, perhaps even the Conservative Right, might not survive going down with the Trump ship. Sore voter's have long memories.
In the meantime, with a little luck, while the intelligent and quiet mass together, shedding light on dark spaces, American stupidity will eat itself.
The Trump Syndicate is a symptom of a larger problem. Fox News is part of a larger problem. This problem is only availed by by one thing, belief in the lie. The lie is self serving and never changes. The belief is never reasoned with, only felt.
