On Informational Platonism and Geometricity Scoring

Published in September of 2025 was Brian's complete thesis, The Architecture of Meaning: A Complete Guide to Informational Platonism and Geometricity.  

Here now is a brief introduction to Informational Platonism, Geometricity and the ongoing "Geometricity Scoring" in this blog's posts. 

What is Informational Platonism?

Informational Platonism is a new metaphysical framework that proposes that the ultimate "stuff" of the universe is not matter or energy, but information. It argues that all of reality—every particle, every law of physics, every thought, and every possible context—exists as a single, complete, and timeless informational structure, a "data-verse" of all possibilities. Our unfolding universe is the dynamic "instantiation" of a small part of this vast, pre-existing blueprint.

What is Geometricity?

Geometricity is the "rulebook" for that informational universe. Think of reality like a set of building blocks. There's a fundamental logic to how they work—some pieces click together perfectly, others don't. This natural necessity for information to be arranged geometrically is Geometricity. It is the inherent framework of relationships, constraints, and symmetries that reality insists upon for anything to be coherent and to persist over time. Actions and ideas that are in harmony with this rulebook tend to succeed; those that fight against it are inherently unstable and eventually fail .

To put it most simply, everything is information, arranged geometrically. I then further argue that the Universe "wants us to make sense," or perhaps that it makes no sense to make nonsense. We humans are the only "things" in the universe that we know of to make nonsense. We should consider stopping...

What We're Doing Here: The Geometricity Score

This blog is where the theory becomes a tool. We have developed a formal, operationalized methodology for measuring an idea's alignment with this rulebook, called the Geometric Coherence Score (GCS). It is a "philosophical compass" that allows us to analyze any system—a political ideology, an economic theory, a scientific concept—and assign it a score based on its coherence with reality.

This is the ongoing project of this site. We will be using the GCS framework to test the "ideas of modernity". We will analyze the foundational principles of the systems that govern our lives to determine if they are:

• Discoveries: Brilliant, pre-existing designs in Nature's Rulebook that are geometrically sound and lead to flourishing.

• Creative Errors: Flawed, non-geometrical human inventions that are destined to fail, forcing square pegs into a round world.
